Working as an Origin Personal Assistant is both challenging and rewarding and in order for applicants to understand the unique demands of the job and be equipped with the skills and confidence necessary to meet the expectations of our clients, all new applicants attend a free, three day, intensive training course in spinal injury care.
No previous experience or formal qualifications are required as you will learn about spinal cord injury and how to be an Origin Personal Assistant on the specially designed course.
Origin training is structured to give you:
an understanding of spinal cord injury |
thorough, practical preparation for the job |
manual handling and lifting skills |
first aid skills |
contacts for on-going support in your role |
‘The course gave me all the practical skills I needed’ Debbie
